On Belay

On Belay provides free adventure-based programs to support children whose lives have been impacted by a family member's cancer. Acting as Interim Executive Director, Groundswell Consulting helped the organization:

+ Establish operating procedures and committees for the board of directors
+ Grow the annual budget from $6,000 to $70,000 through the development and management of corporate solicitations, grants, individual appeals, and events
+ Increase program participation from an average of 12 to 25 students
+ Negotiate the use of a new facility, cutting program costs by more than 35%
+ Expand outreach to provide services to families throughout New England
+ Increase program operations from one site to five
+ Hire the organization’s first full-time employee
